Thank you for choosing Deals Colony. We are a purpose-led social enterprise offering education, services, events, and ethical, handmade, and circular products. We are confident our offerings provide value and impact.

This Refund Policy outlines how refunds, returns, and cancellations are handled across digital products, services, physical goods, and events, in line with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

 

1. Digital Products & Services

(Courses, Memberships, Consulting, Website Development, Resume Services, Mentoring)

Good Fit Guarantee (Courses Only)

For selected courses, we offer a “Test for Good Fit” guarantee.

If, after attending the first two sessions, you feel the course is not the right fit, you may request a full refund. This guarantee applies only to the specified course and does not apply to custom or personalised services.

Refund Eligibility for Digital Products & Services

  • Refund Requests: Must be submitted within 7 days of purchase or service commencement.

  • Proof of Purchase: Required.

  • Custom or Personalised Services: (e.g. website builds, 1:1 consulting, resume writing) are generally non-refundable once delivered, except where required under Australian Consumer Law.

Refund Request Process

  • Name

  • Contact details

  • Purchase or service date

  • Brief reason for the request

Refund requests are reviewed within a reasonable timeframe (usually within 10 business days). Once approved, refunds are processed to the original payment method, subject to your payment provider’s processing times.

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may apply where:

  • Services were partially completed

  • A cancellation occurs close to a scheduled delivery date

  • Non-recoverable costs have already been incurred

 

Cancellations

  • By You: Cancellations within 5 days of a scheduled service may result in a partial refund.

  • By Us: If Deals Colony cancels a service, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

2. Physical Products (Goods)

Deals Colony sells a range of handmade, upcycled, ethical, and small-batch products.

Important Note on Handmade & Circular Goods

Many of our products are handmade or created using reclaimed or surplus materials.
Variations in colour, texture, size, or finish are a natural part of ethical and circular production and are not considered defects.

Returns & Exchanges

  • Change of Mind Returns: Accepted within 30 days of purchase

  • Condition: Items must be unused and in original condition

  • Proof of Purchase: Required

 

Non-Refundable (Change of Mind Only)

  • Sale items

  • Gift cards

  • Health and personal care items (for hygiene reasons)

 

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law if an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described.

Faulty or Damaged Items

If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described:

  • You are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund in line with ACL.

  • Please contact us within a reasonable timeframe.

 

Return Process

  1. Contact support@dealscolony.com.au to request a return

  2. Once approved, return instructions and address will be provided

  3. Items are inspected upon receipt

  4. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method

Return Shipping:

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.

3. Events, Workshops & Programs

 

Refund Eligibility

  • Refund requests must be made at least 5 days before the event.

  • Cancellations within 5 days may result in a partial refund due to non-recoverable costs.

Cancellations

  • By You:

    • More than 5 days’ notice → full refund

    • Less than 5 days’ notice → partial or no refund

  • By Us:

    • Full refund or option to reschedule

Ticket Transfers

Event tickets may be transferred to another participant with prior written notice.

4. Australian Consumer Law

This Refund Policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement if:

  • A product or service is faulty

  • Not delivered with due care and skill

  • Not fit for purpose

  • Not as described

 

5. Changes to This Policy

Deals Colony reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Updates will be published on our website and take effect immediately.
