Our Net-Positive Model - From Hobby To Impact

Creating real‑life side careers through circular innovation and measurable ESG outcomes that power the next economy

We’re a family‑owned, multicultural social enterprise powering the future economy through circular business models, social impact, and a lightweight Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) data model. We co‑design 100% circularity‑compliant, zero‑waste projects that create alternative employment, micro‑enterprise opportunities, and measurable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and ESG outcomes aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Over the next two years, we’re scaling our ESG data model into the Circular Impact Network — giving organisations a practical way to meet their sustainability reporting and ESG commitments by co‑designing grant‑ready and Olympic‑ready programs, while advancing Deals Colony’s mission to grow local economies, enable micro‑enterprise, and create net‑positive careers for priority communities.

Why It Matters

  • 649,600 Australians seek meaningful work (ABS, July 2025)
  • 950,000 Queenslanders experienced mental distress (Queensland Mental Health Commission, 2024)
  • People aren’t just chasing income — they’re searching for meaning, flexibility, and a way forward.

Australia is facing rising business costs, workforce shortages, increasing demand for ESG accountability and growing barriers to workforce participation.

At the same time, valuable skills, products and community resources remain underused.

Deals Colony exists to bridge these gaps by helping organisations create measurable impact through practical community innovation.

We believe the world's greatest waste isn't products—it's untapped human potential.

Building Australia's Community Innovation Infrastructure

Over the next two years, Deals Colony is expanding the Community Innovation Operating Model through the Circular Innovation Network.

Our long-term vision is to build practical community innovation infrastructure that helps organisations create measurable ESG outcomes while strengthening local economies and reducing waste.

2025–2027

  • Expand the Circular Innovation Network

  • Measure ESG outcomes across community projects

  • Grow community innovation portfolios

  • Build practical partnership models

2026

Independent Academic Review (Planned)

Beginning in 2026, Deals Colony intends to collaborate with university and research partners to independently review and evaluate the Community Innovation Operating Model.

The review will examine the effectiveness of our methodology, impact measurement approach and long-term outcomes across community innovation, circular economy, workforce participation and wellbeing initiatives.

This independent review will help strengthen evidence-based practice, improve continuous learning and contribute practical research into scalable community innovation.

Brisbane 2032

Our long-term goal is to document 10,000 community innovation case studies that demonstrate measurable social, environmental and economic outcomes while creating practical legacy programs beyond Brisbane 2032.

How Our Model Works

From idea to net‑positive impact through a sustainability and circular economy lens. We turn everyday human activity into measurable impact by applying industry‑standard methods — including Theory of Change, the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards, and ISSB‑aligned ESG frameworks. We combine these with our regenerative frameworks - founder’s OOPS (Object‑Oriented Programming System) thinking — treating passions, skills, and lived experiences as “objects” with resources, actions, and outcomes. When structured together, they generate data, jobs, and ESG results through practical, human‑centred innovation.

Our Passion‑Led Impact

People say Deals Colony feels like cracking the dream‑builder code — programs fill fast because they work.

Our Impact Data Tells the Story

Each zero‑waste project transforms lived experience, surplus skills, and local resources of migrants, women, youth, elders, and home‑based contributors into practical outcomes — improving wellbeing and creating flexible economic opportunities.
With 4 portfolios, 15+ programs, and 1,000+ projects over 10 years, our in‑house circular economy initiatives reduce waste at scale, recover surplus, and convert discarded materials into community value through circular gifting and zero‑waste business models.

We build circular enterprises, youth‑led innovation, and zero‑waste solutions. Our model ensures no skill is wasted, no story overlooked, and no resource left behind.
