Pre loved resale: a community organisation project

The problem. Useful items sit at home unsold. Who it helps. A charity or community organisation delivering it, helping hobbyists with an idea they want to test. What you start with. Items you no longer use. What is delivered. A small listing batch is tested on an online marketplace such as eBay. Your organisation leads delivery with support from the Deals Colony team. How progress is known. Items listed and items sold are counted. A short summary is shared with your board or members, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. Postage and fees reduce the margin. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
