Digital skills session: a council program

The problem. Everyday online tasks are a barrier for new arrivals. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping migrants and newcomers restarting their careers in Australia. What you start with. A shared device and a simple topic. What is delivered. A short session covers one task, such as booking or banking. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Tasks learned are ticked off. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. Privacy and safe practice come first. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet. Start with a free Initial Assessment for Your Idea.
