Returners mentoring circle: a council program

The problem. Returners often lack a network. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping mums and other carers returning to paid work. What you start with. A few experienced people willing to share. What is delivered. Monthly circles pair returners with mentors. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Circles held and contacts made are noted. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. Mentors give time and experience, not a promise of work. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
