Garden pots and planters: a council program

The problem. Spare pots are bulky, so they get dumped rather than reused. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping small makers, stallholders and neighbours holding leftover stock. What you start with. Intact garden pots and planters. What is delivered. Pots are scrubbed, grouped by size and paired with seedlings from a local swap. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Pots reused and swaps held are counted. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Weight and weather limit where pots can be used. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
