Kid run fundraising playdate: a workplace project

The problem. Children want to help others but have no practical way to start. Who it helps. A workplace team backing the project. The people helped are children aged 8 to 14 and their parents. Employees take part as supervised adult helpers with a youth group, outside normal performance reviews. What you start with. A simple stall, games and a chosen cause. What is delivered. Children choose a cause, plan the day and run a short fundraiser, with adults supporting. A named team lead runs it alongside normal work, and taking part is voluntary. How progress is known. Planning steps done and funds raised are written down. A short summary is shared with your team, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Handling money needs an adult treasurer and clear records. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
