Pallet and timber planters: a community organisation project

The problem. Timber offcuts are dumped when they could become useful furniture. Who it helps. A charity or community organisation delivering it, helping people who want to learn to make with discarded materials. What you start with. Pallet timber and offcuts. What is delivered. Simple stools and planters are planned, sanded and joined. Your organisation leads delivery with support from the Deals Colony team. How progress is known. Pieces completed are counted. A short summary is shared with your board or members, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Treated or damaged timber must be ruled out first. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
