Uniform and sports gear swap: a workplace project

The problem. Families buy new gear that others have outgrown. Who it helps. A workplace team backing the project. The people helped are teachers, students and parents in a school community. Employees take part as supervised adult mentors for a class, outside normal performance reviews. What you start with. Clean, unwanted uniform and sports gear. What is delivered. Families donate and swap items, and leftovers go to a local charity. A named team lead runs it alongside normal work, and taking part is voluntary. How progress is known. Items swapped and items passed on are counted. A short summary is shared with your team, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Hygiene and fit standards need agreeing. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
