Goal vial and wish list: a council program

The problem. Goals stay vague, so children lose track of them. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping children aged 8 to 14 and their parents. What you start with. Small jars, paper strips and a set of goals. What is delivered. Each child writes goals on strips and tracks progress with a visible jar. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Goals written and goals reached are tallied. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Goals stay small enough to feel reachable. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
