Paper and card wraps: a council program

The problem. Paper scraps are recycled once when they could be wrapped and tagged again. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping small makers and gift sellers who want less packaging waste. What you start with. Clean paper and card scraps. What is delivered. Paper is folded into wraps, tags and small boxes with simple hand stamps. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Wraps and tags made are counted. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Paper wraps give little protection to fragile gifts. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
