Goal vial and wish list: a community group project

The problem. Goals stay vague, so children lose track of them. Who it helps. A community group working together, helping children aged 8 to 14 and their parents. What you start with. Small jars, paper strips and a set of goals. What is delivered. Each child writes goals on strips and tracks progress with a visible jar. A small group works through it together, week by week. How progress is known. Goals written and goals reached are tallied. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Goals stay small enough to feel reachable. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. Deals Colony has run or described this kind of project before, under Youth Leadership and Life Skills (HHHJ). Your version is a fresh trial and its results are not promised.
