Junior cooking show: a council program

The problem. Children watch cooking online but rarely explain a recipe themselves. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping children aged 8 to 14 and their parents. What you start with. A basic kitchen and safe ingredients. What is delivered. Children plan a simple recipe, practise explaining each step and film a short show. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Shows made and recipes tried are noted. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Food safety and allergy rules come first. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
