Junior cooking show: a community group project
The problem. Children watch cooking online but rarely explain a recipe themselves. Who it helps. A community group working together, helping children aged 8 to 14 and their parents. What you start with. A basic kitchen and safe ingredients. What is delivered. Children plan a simple recipe, practise explaining each step and film a short show. A small group works through it together, week by week. How progress is known. Shows made and recipes tried are noted. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Food safety and allergy rules come first. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. Deals Colony has run or described this kind of project before, under Youth Leadership and Life Skills (HHHJ). Your version is a fresh trial and its results are not promised.
