Live show for young hosts: a community organisation project
The problem. Children rarely get to practise speaking about what they love. Who it helps. A charity or community organisation delivering it, helping children aged 8 to 14 and their parents. What you start with. A phone or tablet, a quiet corner and a simple script. What is delivered. Young hosts plan a short live show on a topic they love, with a practice run first. Your organisation leads delivery with support from the Deals Colony team. How progress is known. Shows planned and practised are noted. A short summary is shared with your board or members, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Online safety rules apply, and a parent approves every post. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
