Unused space for community use: a council program

The problem. Rooms sit empty while local groups search for somewhere to meet. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping people who run or work in small offices, workspaces and event teams. What you start with. A spare meeting room, hall or corner of a workspace. What is delivered. A room is offered for a few community sessions, with a simple booking and house rules. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Sessions held and groups hosted are counted. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Insurance, access and safety rules must be agreed first. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
