Care pack drive: a council program
The problem. Neighbours in need go without simple items. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping neighbours who want a low pressure way to meet people. What you start with. Fabric, patterns and a few sewing volunteers. What is delivered. Volunteers make and share simple items for neighbours who need them. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Items made and shared are counted. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Health guidance changes, so items follow current advice. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
