Art commission starter: a community group project

The problem. Artists struggle to price commissions. Who it helps. A community group working together, helping creators and freelancers who want to earn from a skill. What you start with. An art skill and a few samples. What is delivered. A simple price list and brief form are made. A small group works through it together, week by week. How progress is known. Commissions taken are counted. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. Prices depend on time and skill. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
