Reusable pack assembly: a community group project

The problem. Assembly work is hard to find for people who need a gentle start. Who it helps. A community group working together, helping people facing barriers to paid work, with the organisations that support them. What you start with. Reusable bags, wraps and inserts. What is delivered. A simple assembly line is set up around the steps each person prefers. A small group works through it together, week by week. How progress is known. Packs assembled and training hours are recorded. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. Quality checks must be built in without singling anyone out. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
