Jar and tin gift sets: a community group project

The problem. Jars and tins are binned when they could hold a gift. Who it helps. A community group working together, helping small makers and gift sellers who want less packaging waste. What you start with. Clean glass jars and tins. What is delivered. Containers are relabelled and filled with a small local product. A small group works through it together, week by week. How progress is known. Containers reused and sets sold are counted. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Lids and seals must be sound and food safe. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
