Shared market stall: a school project
The problem. One maker cannot cover a whole stall. Who it helps. A school: students and families running a school stall, with a teacher in charge. What you start with. Stock from two or three makers and a shared roster. What is delivered. The stall is shared across a few weekends. It fits a school term, with the teacher in charge of timing and safety. How progress is known. Weekends run and items sold are recorded. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Shared stalls need clear agreements on stock and sales. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
