Skills inventory and story: a council program
The problem. Skills built outside paid work are not on a CV. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping mums and other carers returning to paid work. What you start with. Your work, caring and community history. What is delivered. Skills are listed, grouped and turned into three clear strengths. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Strengths written and shared are recorded. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. A skills list helps. It does not replace applying for roles. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
