Water marble painting on plywood: a workplace project
The problem. People have no easy way to try a making technique before buying supplies. Who it helps. A workplace team backing the project. The people helped are people who want to learn to make with discarded materials. What you start with. Plain plywood pieces and water based paints. What is delivered. The marbling bath is set up and test pieces are dipped before the real ones. A named team lead runs it alongside normal work, and taking part is voluntary. How progress is known. Pieces made and skills tried are noted at the end of each session. A short summary is shared with your team, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Patterns cannot be repeated exactly, and that is part of the challenge. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
