Assembly talk on circular ideas: a school project
The problem. Students rarely talk to their peers about waste and reuse. Who it helps. A school: students and their teachers, with a teacher in charge. What you start with. A short slide set and a few students ready to speak. What is delivered. Students plan and give a ten minute talk to a year level. It fits a school term, with the teacher in charge of timing and safety. How progress is known. Talks given and questions asked are recorded. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Speaking in front of peers is hard, so taking part is by choice. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. Deals Colony has run or described this kind of project before, under Youth Leadership and Life Skills (HHHJ). Your version is a fresh trial and its results are not promised.
