Label stamping and tagging: a council program

The problem. Small makers need tags and labels, and the work can start people on a pathway. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping people facing barriers to paid work, with the organisations that support them. What you start with. A hand stamp set and recycled card. What is delivered. Labels and tags are stamped for other makers' products. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Labels made and orders completed are recorded. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. Fine detail may suit some people better than others. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
