Chipped crockery mosaic: a school project

The problem. Chipped plates and cups have no use once cracked. Who it helps. A school: students learning to make with discarded materials, with a teacher in charge. What you start with. Chipped crockery. What is delivered. Pieces are sorted by colour and fitted onto a base to make a small mosaic. It fits a school term, with the teacher in charge of timing and safety. How progress is known. Mosaics finished are counted. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Sharp edges and grout need careful handling. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
