Listing and description writing: a council program
The problem. Listings are slow to write. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping university and senior students who want a first paid role. What you start with. Photos and basic item facts. What is delivered. Students write plain, honest descriptions. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Listings written are counted. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. Descriptions must match the item exactly. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
