Rescued basket hampers: a school project

The problem. Baskets are given away unsorted and often wasted. Who it helps. A school: students designing low waste packs, with a teacher in charge. What you start with. Donated baskets and trays. What is delivered. Baskets are cleaned, lined and filled to a seasonal theme. It fits a school term, with the teacher in charge of timing and safety. How progress is known. Baskets reused and hampers made are counted. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. A mixed basket looks uneven without a clear theme. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
