Serving boards and turntables: a school project

The problem. Plain serving pieces are hard to sell without a story or a finish. Who it helps. A school: students learning how leftover stock can be sold again, with a teacher in charge. What you start with. Lazy susan turntables and serving boards. What is delivered. Each piece is cleaned, refinished and styled as a grazing board in a small test batch. It fits a school term, with the teacher in charge of timing and safety. How progress is known. Boards finished and boards sold are recorded. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Food contact surfaces must be properly sealed and safe. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed.
