Fabric scrap patchwork: a community organisation project

The problem. Scraps are discarded because they seem too small to use. Who it helps. A charity or community organisation delivering it, helping people who want to learn to make with discarded materials. What you start with. Clean fabric scraps. What is delivered. Squares are cut, arranged and stitched into small patchwork pieces. Your organisation leads delivery with support from the Deals Colony team. How progress is known. Pieces finished are counted. A short summary is shared with your board or members, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Hand stitching is slow and finishing takes patience. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
