Herb growing kits: a council program

The problem. Small packing tasks are not offered as a first step toward work. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping people facing barriers to paid work, with the organisations that support them. What you start with. Herb seeds, small pots and printed cards. What is delivered. Kits are filled, packed and labelled by hand. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Kits packed and skills tried are recorded. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. Seed life and timing matter. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
