Odd picture frames: a council program
The problem. Frames in odd sizes are hard to sell one at a time. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping small makers, stallholders and neighbours holding leftover stock. What you start with. Unsold picture frames in mixed sizes. What is delivered. Frames are regrouped into matching sets, with or without a printed insert. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Sets made, listed and sold are counted. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Odd sizes limit what will pair up. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
