Unused space for community use: a workplace project

The problem. Rooms sit empty while local groups search for somewhere to meet. Who it helps. A workplace team backing the project. The people helped are people who run or work in small offices, workspaces and event teams. Staff take part voluntarily, outside performance reviews. What you start with. A spare meeting room, hall or corner of a workspace. What is delivered. A room is offered for a few community sessions, with a simple booking and house rules. A named team lead runs it alongside normal work, and taking part is voluntary. How progress is known. Sessions held and groups hosted are counted. A short summary is shared with your team, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Insurance, access and safety rules must be agreed first. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
