Live show for young hosts: a workplace project
The problem. Children rarely get to practise speaking about what they love. Who it helps. A workplace team backing the project. The people helped are children aged 8 to 14 and their parents. Employees take part as supervised adult helpers with a youth group, outside normal performance reviews. What you start with. A phone or tablet, a quiet corner and a simple script. What is delivered. Young hosts plan a short live show on a topic they love, with a practice run first. A named team lead runs it alongside normal work, and taking part is voluntary. How progress is known. Shows planned and practised are noted. A short summary is shared with your team, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Online safety rules apply, and a parent approves every post. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
