Mini food court: a school project
The problem. Students seldom practise teamwork in a real small business. Who it helps. A school: students and their teachers, with a teacher in charge. What you start with. A few simple, safe food ideas. What is delivered. Classes each run one stall, from menu to pricing to waste sorting. It fits a school term, with the teacher in charge of timing and safety. How progress is known. Stalls run and waste sorted are recorded. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Food safety and allergy rules apply. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. Deals Colony has run or described this kind of project before, under Youth Leadership and Life Skills (HHHJ). Your version is a fresh trial and its results are not promised.
