Fundraiser market day: a school project

The problem. Students learn about money in theory but rarely run a real stall. Who it helps. A school: students and their teachers, with a teacher in charge. What you start with. Tables, student made items and a cause. What is delivered. Students make, price and sell items at a school market, with proceeds going to a chosen cause. It fits a school term, with the teacher in charge of timing and safety. How progress is known. Items made and funds raised are written down. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Handling money needs adult oversight and simple records. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. Deals Colony has run or described this kind of project before, under Youth Leadership and Life Skills (HHHJ). Your version is a fresh trial and its results are not promised.
