Marbled wall boards: a community group project

The problem. Plain boards have little value until someone finishes them. Who it helps. A community group working together, helping people facing barriers to paid work, with the organisations that support them. What you start with. Plain wooden wall boards. What is delivered. Boards are dipped, dried and finished in a small colour range. A small group works through it together, week by week. How progress is known. Boards finished and tasks each person learned are recorded. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. Drying space and sealing steps must be planned. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
