Micro brand from rescued materials: a council program

The problem. Makers have materials but no brand to sell under. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping makers and hobbyists ready to turn a skill into a small brand. What you start with. Surplus materials and a brand idea. What is delivered. A name, story and small range are designed around the materials. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Stages of the Trial Project Framework reached are recorded. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. A brand needs time to be known. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
