Supplier readiness map: a council program
The problem. Small businesses do not know what they already offer a buyer. Who it helps. A council or library team hosting it, helping very small local businesses preparing to sell to larger buyers. What you start with. What a small business already holds in skills, stories, products and contacts. What is delivered. Assets are mapped against buyers that matter, with gaps and next steps listed. A community officer hosts it with local partners and follows progress. How progress is known. Items marked ready, nearly ready or not yet are counted. A short summary is shared with the council, with names and personal details left out. Main purpose. The main purpose is access to a useful product or service, or less waste going to landfill, for the community. Honest limits. Readiness is not the same as winning work. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
