Hand painted resin lamps: a school project

The problem. Some people have few chances to learn hands on making skills in a real product line. Who it helps. A school: students and people with different abilities making side by side, with a teacher in charge. What you start with. Blank resin lamp bases and a safe workspace. What is delivered. A marbled finish is learned on test pieces, and each person chooses the colours they like. It fits a school term, with the teacher in charge of timing and safety. How progress is known. Skills practised, training hours and pieces finished are recorded with each person. Main purpose. The main purpose is a pathway to work, training or a first venture for the people taking part. Honest limits. Resin work needs ventilation and the right protective gear. Child safe practice applies: parent or guardian permission, adult supervision, privacy protection and an inclusive setting. Items are described accurately, in line with Australian consumer law, and custom made or refurbished items are disclosed. Ownership of your idea stays with you, and no job, funding or contract is promised. Track record. This is a new idea built on work Deals Colony has already documented. It has not been run yet.
