About the HHHJ Community Experience Program
Happy Hobby Hour Junior (HHHJ) is a youth-led social enterprise initiative under Deals Colony, bringing together parents, grandparents, schools, charities, businesses, medical centres, media organisations, community groups, and local leaders to create safe, respectful, and nurturing environments where young people can develop wellbeing, confidence, and essential life skills.
Through the Community Experience Program, young people participate in hands-on community experiences during school holidays or through on-demand projects designed around genuine community needs.
This program goes far beyond site visits.
Every experience becomes an opportunity for young people to explore ideas, contribute to their community, build confidence, develop workforce-ready skills, learn to become creators rather than just consumers, and discover pathways they may never have considered before.
Each activity is voluntary, supervised by nominated adult mentors, and designed to help young people navigate modern challenges while creating meaningful experiences they can be proud of. These experiences help young people manage modern pressures such as academic stress, social media influence, gaming, and digital overload by transforming screen time into meaningful, real-world opportunities.
Many of these experiences are transformed into educational digital content and shared through appropriate online channels such as YouTube, social media, email updates, and our community newsletter - contributing to our long-term vision of inspiring 50 million young people globally through real stories, real experiences, and genuine community impact. This goal is led by Ruhaan, the young founder of HHHJ.

Behind the Scenes — Why This Program Matters
A few years ago, we started asking a simple question:
What if young people had more opportunities to experience the real world, instead of just learning about it through screens?
As parents, grandparents, educators, business owners, community leaders, and mentors, we kept hearing the same concerns. Young people today are growing up in a world filled with pressure — school stress, social media, gaming addiction, bullying, family challenges, and digital overload.
They are more connected than ever online, yet many have fewer opportunities to build confidence, identity, purpose, and real-life skills through meaningful experiences.
We realised that most young people don't need more rules. They need more opportunities. They need community. They need experiences that turn screen time into skill time.
That's why we created the HHHJ Community Experience Program.
Supported through Deals Colony's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment to investing in the next generation, we create opportunities through our trusted network of families, schools, businesses, community organisations, media partners, and professionals who genuinely care about young people's wellbeing.
Behind every HHHJ initiative are countless conversations with parents, grandparents, school leaders, community champions, business owners, media partners, and local representatives.
We've listened to concerns about confidence, wellbeing, mental health, social connection, academic pressure, and the rapidly changing world young people are growing up in today.
These conversations continue to shape every program we create.
Rather than delivering one-size-fits-all activities, we design opportunities based on genuine community needs, helping young people build their own collection of goals, achievements, and proud moments while preparing for a thriving future.
From a Small Trial to Real Impact
